How do I get started?

You can do it yourself. Installation takes a few minutes.

  1. Choose your meters

    Any Wireless M-Bus or OMS meter that suits the job. The compatibility list shows the models we have tested, but other Wireless M-Bus / OMS meters will usually work too. Make sure you have the meters’ AES encryption keys.

  2. Buy a gateway

    Every Metbox gateway reads Wireless M-Bus and OMS. Pick the model that suits the building.

  3. Install the gateway

    The battery gateway makes it simplest: put it in place and it starts working. No socket, no wiring.

  4. Create a platform account

    Sign up on the Metbox cloud platform.

  5. Add the building and the gateway

    Meter numbers and models are discovered automatically. You only enter the AES-128 keys, where the meters use them.

  6. Your readings are live

    Live readings, alerts and analytics, whenever you need them.

Walk-by is not remote reading.

Someone still has to be there. Leave one gateway on site instead and the building reports itself.
