Every manufacturer packs the frame its own way. The drivers are written, so a reading is a reading: volume, energy, flow, temperatures, error flags and the meter’s own timestamp, named the same across every model.

One gateway covers a district. Devices join it, payloads are decoded per model, and the radio behind each reading is kept with it: spreading factor, RSSI, SNR, frame counter: so a meter drifting out of range shows up before it goes quiet.

Where there is no room for a gateway, the meter carries its own SIM and reports over the mobile network. The platform takes the data in, keeps signal strength and battery beside it, and tells you when a device has stopped calling home.

Meter stock management
Meters are registered when they arrive, not when they are mounted. Serial ranges, keys, batches and where each box went: so the installer scans one and the platform already knows what it is and whose it is.

The network server is part of the platform, not a subscription somewhere else. Gateways report uptime, throughput and the packets passing through them, and you can see which one picked up a given reading.

Alerts
