The limited liability company “Metbox” is implementing a research project within the implementation rules of measure 1.2.1.2.i.2. “Development of innovative products and technologies” under investment 1.2.1.2.i. “Increasing energy efficiency in business (including the transition to the use of renewable energy technologies in heat supply and research and development activities (incl. bioeconomy))” of reform and investment direction 1.2. “Improving energy efficiency” of the Latvian Recovery and Resilience Facility plan.

The aim of the project is to develop the Metbox industrial IoT solution for utility services and building management, improving its interoperability, functionality and scalability for next-generation requirements. The project will carry out industrial research and experimental development to improve the efficiency of data acquisition and exchange, remote-control capabilities, and the security and resilience of the system against future challenges. The development will build on already available measurement data and practical experience, ensuring validation of the solution in real operating conditions in Latvia and in export target markets.
